Reddit, BoingBoing And More will Participate In Anti-NSA Protests

 Reddit, BoingBoing, Imgur, DuckDuckGo, Amnesty International, Greenpeace, MoveOn.org and many other websites are going to participate in the Anti-NSA protests, hopefully this week. They are taking part in the online campaign called "Reset The Net", which is aimed to encourage the website owners and mobile app creators to integrate maximum security protection their respective services, which they provide, like; SSL and HSTS.

The actual aim of these protests, are too aware the website owners and mobile app creators, just to save their work secure from the government spy activities, this protest is going to ensure the user privacy.

Explaining the protest against the NSA on their websites, "Reset The Net", " The NSA is exploiting the weak links in the internet security to spy on the entire world". As far as, stoping of such attack is concerned, it is impossible. 

The campaign asked the website owners and mobile app creators, to integrate latest security technologies, like; SSL, PFS and HSTS, which will make spying a difficult task and the data of the users can be prevented. To actively take part in the campaign the web and mobile developers can submit that what changes they are willing to make and how they'll promote the campaign on their services.

Website owners can promote the campaign, "Rest The Net" by running a splash screen, whereas, the app creators will send a push notification that will promote a mobile privacy pack. 

"Reset The Net" will also ask the users of social media sites to support them against online security threats and spying.

Reddit will be running free ads, which will be promoting NSA-resistance privacy tool and asking its users to use encryption tools. DuckDuckGo will help to promote the encryption tool. Imagur will promote the "Reset The Net" privacy pack. BoingBoing and iFixIt will be adding SSL to their websites. Currently it is said that the campaign has got too many supporters to hit it.
