Two of Time.Inc's, Business and Finance publications, Fortune And Money have gotten split off from CNN Money and have launched a new site with the joint venture. They were posted to CNN Money.
There was a joint venture between Time Inc. And CNN, but now the Fortune and Money are, no more the part of this venture has found a new home for them.
According to the sources that CNN Money editor Craig Matters have told that "CNN Money was certainly a success. Unfortunately, it had a drawback of making Fortune And Money a little less visible online, at least from a branding perspective". He further said that " For Fortune and Money to not really robust digital brands might have been okay in 2005, but it's less okay once you are out of the oughts".
It is predicted that Fortune will bring 24 new team members to carry on the work while Money will bring members to move with the same force and that team will not be under the influence of Time.Inc anymore. The work of that new members will be, to produce the new content for the website. Though, Fortune Editor Andy Serwer and CNN Money editor Craig Matters both said "the divisions between the print and digital teams are becoming more permeable".
According to the sources that the goal for Money will be to post 20 to 30 contents in a day, while fortune will post up to 90 contents.
The new site of Fortune and Money looks similar to time.com that launched in march. They have decided to make their site go live in a few days. I will post another article when they'll go live. CNN will take full control of the CNN Money site. The existing content of Fortune And Money on CNN Money will be moved towards their new site, which is about to go live, the all contents will redirect there.
